Quality Control Manager

We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector for a managerial role at an Aircraft Manufacturer in Johannesburg.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the Quality Control functions of all incoming parts and goods
• Supervise Quality Control inspection schedules and the completion of Quality Records
• Support the Production Manager in dealing with subassembly and end product Quality matters
• Assess the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans on the site
• Allocate Quality Control personnel to the various areas of the production facility
• Supervise inspections, reports and the documentation issued by inspectors and collect and file the required Quality Records
• Support and participate to all the internal/external audits
• Establish and co-ordinate the relevant Tracking Systems for correct identification of parts and assemblies
• Co-operate with the Quality Assurance Manager to analyse non-conformities
• Ensure the effective implementation of non-conformance corrective actions

Minimum Requirements

• B.Eng. Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent) or higher
• At least 3 years work experience in a relevant field
• Technical design and analysis experience in sheet metal and composites would be beneficial

Skills and Attributes

• A keen eye for detail
• Passionate about aviation
• Understanding of engineering principles and practices
• Understanding of practical implementation of theoretical knowledge in aeronautical engineering
• Any managerial experience would be beneficial

Benefits

• Basic salary of R30 000 to R35 000 p/m gross
