Aerospace Systems Engineer

Our client in Pretoria is looking for an Aerospace Systems Engineer to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analysis of requirements and system functions
• Specification writing
• Translation of functional elements into practical hardware and software solutions
• Simulation of system solutions and performance prediction
• Oversee, integration, and testing of equipment
• Plan, resource and manage the systems engineering tasks to achieve the stated objectives, including design
  reviews at applicable system level
• Report on progress and risks per system or development project
• Pro-active identification and mitigation of risks
• Adherence regarding aviation regulatory compliance matters and statutory requirements
• Support procurement activities with technical requirements
• Support costing of air vehicle and sub-system solutions
• Support Process Planning Sheet preparation
• Manage requirements and compliance database
• Support assembly line activities and queries
• Manage interface definition at air vehicle level as well as with configuration changes
• Support the flight test program at air vehicle level

Qualifications and Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Mechanical)
• Post graduate qualification in Systems Engineering and/or Project Management
• Experience/exposure to military systems engineering processes
• Experience in the management of engineering teams
