Aircraft Maintenance Planner
An Aircraft Maintenance Organisation based at Grand Central Airport in Midrand is looking for Aircraft Maintenance Planners.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Creating, maintaining and updating all general maintenance task lists as per latest Maintenance Manual Revisions
- Equipment Master Data creation and maintenance in conjunction with the Technical Department
- Updating, maintaining and creating Leitner Multiple Counter Maintenance Plans
- Linking General Maintenance Task Lists to relevant Multiple Counter Maintenance Plans
- Acquiring latest flight data for all aircraft implemented on Leitner and create measurement documents in order to update the system
- Generate Leitner Maintenance Planning Forecast Reports based on latest aircraft flight data
- Implementing and populating complete aircraft on to the Leitner Maintenance Planning database
- Build/Create baseline structures for all ESAL aircraft types based solely on the Maintenances Manuals/PRE’s/MSR’s for implementation onto Leitner
- Reference and upkeep all aircraft maintenance history volumes both current and archived
- Effective and efficient filing, archiving and control of Maintenance related documentation – ISO & CAA compliant
- Assist in the efficient collection and capture of flying data for the entire company Fleet in the relevant territory
- Provide management the relevant statistical data such as Maintenance Forecasting and Aircraft Structure/Equipment
- Ensure proper archiving of all relevant document resources (other than aircraft logbooks) used for the implementation of the aircraft onto Leitner
- C of R applications (New aircraft registration, Change of ownership and cancellation of registration)
- C of R applications (New C of A inspections, C/O the C of A inspection with SACAA inspector, Export C of A Inspections & Renewal of C of A)
- Copy and update of logbooks when aircraft is arriving or leaving ESAL premises
- Creation of new logbooks
- Tracking of logbooks and control of logbook Storage Cupboards and Maintaining Logbooks (checking for discrepancies and rectify if not corresponding with work pack or work carried out)
- Effective and efficient filing of maintenance related documentation
- Archiving and control of Maintenance related documentation
- Opening new volume files, closing old volume file and placing in archiving storage
- Filing all old/closed work packs into the volumes per aircraft registration
- Controlling archiving storage and all volume files contained within
- Creating, tracking and correcting of work packs along with the associated task in relation to work packs
- Collection of fleet data sheets, reminding customers and operators about submission of flight data and updating of data on the maintenance tracking system
- Building and creating baseline structures of all aircraft types based on the OEM documentation for implementation on to the maintenance system
- Completing all other responsibilities relating to this role and ad hoc responsibilities that might arise within the function
Minimum Requirements
- South African Citizen – (please note that this is an Employment Equity position)
- Previous experience in an Aircraft Maintenance Planner position or a good understanding of Aircraft Maintenance
