Avionic Systems Technician

An Aircraft Maintenance Organisation working in the defence industry in Saudi Arabia is looking for qualified Avionic Systems Technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and advise on technical problems in the operation and maintenance of aircraft avionic systems and associated electronic components, sub-systems, test equipment
  • Install, test, modify and repair avionic system components and test equipment
  • Supervise Aircraft electrical maintenance personnel
  • Repair and clean batteries, terminals and cables, if applicable
  • Remove and replace batteries on all types of aerospace equipment and systems
  • Interpret installation and maintenance policies to correct defective equipment
  • Diagnose recurring malfunctions and recommend corrective actions
  • Observe and ensure compliance with established safety procedures
  • Prepare material deficiency reports
  • Determine extent of work/processes to repair or replace avionics unit(s)
  • Assign maintenance and repair function to subordinates

Minimum Requirements

  • South African, United Kingdom or United States Citizenship
  • Valid passport
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience as an Avionic Systems Technician in a defence environment
  • Must be a qualified Avionic Technician
  • B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence is not required but is an advantage
  • Experience on F-15 Eagle aircraft is a huge advantage but not required however, experience on fixed-wing fighter aircraft is required
