Aircraft Maintenance Planner

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Planner for a position at a company based in Centurion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing maintenance plans, scheduling aircraft maintenance jobs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. This position is crucial for optimizing aircraft availability and maintaining the highest level of safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules for aircraft, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Coordinate and plan maintenance tasks in collaboration with maintenance teams, engineers, and other relevant stakeholders
• Analyse aircraft maintenance reports to determine trends and prepare recommendations for improved maintenance practices
• Ensure all maintenance activities are documented accurately and timely in compliance with regulatory and company standards
• Review and update maintenance manuals, technical data, and regulatory requirements as necessary
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and manage costs associated with aircraft maintenance operations
• Liaise with parts suppliers and ensure the availability of necessary inventory for maintenance tasks
• Monitor and track maintenance progress and performance metrics to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Support the Continuous Improvement Program to enhance maintenance processes and operational efficiency
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations affecting aircraft maintenance

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a South African citizen/permanent resident preferably residing in or around Centurion
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance planning or related roles
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite, CAMP, Traxxall, etc.
• Relevant certifications CATS and CARS
