Licenced Super Puma Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
A helicopter AMO based in Johannesburg has a vacancy for a Licenced Super Puma Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all maintenance are carried out on aircraft/components according to company procedures and regulations, including the Quality Manual as required maintaining ISO 9002 standards
- Ensure that a safety attitude is at all times adopted by also observing the actions of other members that might have a negative influence on safety
- A high quality standard of maintenance work is expected therefore ensuring that daily work has limited interruptions in terms of idle conversations as well as telephone calls is critical
- Ensure that no maintenance/repair is carried out that has not been authorised by the customer by signing the job card
- Ensure that a complete work pack is available for maintenance and is filled in not only progressively, but also with accurate signed off maintenance actions, especially with regards to spares used and man-hours worked
- Regular liaison with Workshop Supervisor with respect to progress on maintenance activity, indicating potential problematic situations
- Regular follow-up with stores with respect to the status of outstanding spares
- Ensure that only serviceable equipment and tools are used for maintenance
- Ensure that special tools used are replaced on shadow-boards when maintenance tasks are completed
- Ensure that personal toolboxes are tidy with accurate lists of tools in inventory and that all tools are serviceable and accounted for at all times, especially after completion of a maintenance task
- Ensure that all tools used that require calibration are on the list for calibrated tools
- Ensure that the area around the maintenance activity and spilled fluids cleaned immediately
- Ensure that all relevant maintenance documentation is signed for at the Technical Publication section and returned every Friday
- Ensure that all stripped components are accurately labelled and stored neat and tidy
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid SACAA/ICAO Category A & C Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence
- Experience on either AS332, SA330, H225 or H215 (a type rating would be advantageous but is not necessary)
- At least 5 years’ experience as a licenced AME on helicopters
- Clear criminal record

- Must be able to handle complex projects without supervision
